Position Overview:

As an After-School Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and punctual transportation of our young students from their respective elementary schools to our academy. The ideal candidate must possess a genuine passion for the well-being of children and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

Transportation:

Safely drive the academy’s designated vehicle to pick up students from various local elementary schools and transport them to our martial arts academy.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure the safety and security of students during transit, following all traffic laws, and adhering to the academy’s safety guidelines.

Punctuality:

Maintain a punctual schedule to pick up students at specified times from their schools and ensure timely arrival at the academy for training sessions.

Communication:

Maintain open and clear communication with the academy’s management, parents, and school officials regarding any changes in the pickup schedule or other pertinent information.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Regularly inspect the vehicle for safety and maintenance issues, reporting any concerns to the management promptly.

Emergency Preparedness:

Be prepared to handle emergencies during transportation, including having knowledge of first aid and necessary contact information.

Student Interaction:

Develop a friendly and professional rapport with the students, ensuring a positive and supportive atmosphere during the transportation process.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of pick-up and drop-off times, ensuring accountability and efficiency in the transportation process.

Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License:

Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license with a reliable driving record.

Background Check:

The candidate will be subject to a thorough background check, ensuring the safety and well-being of the students.

Experience:

Previous experience in driving or transportation, particularly with children, is preferred but not mandatory.

Safety Conscious:

Strong commitment to following traffic laws, safety guidelines, and taking necessary precautions during transportation.

Reliability:

Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities required for this position.

Excellent Communication:

Effective communication skills, especially when interacting with children, parents, and school officials.

Flexibility:

Ability to adapt to changing schedules or pickup locations as needed.

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position, requiring availability during weekday afternoons, typically from 1pm to 3pm, with occasional flexibility needed based on school schedules or special events.

Job Type:

Part-time Pay:

$18.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
