Job Description:
STS Technical Services is hiring a CDL Driver / Fueler (Night Shift) to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. If you’re a licensed CDL Class A driver with a TWIC card and Hazmat certification, this is your opportunity to work with an industry leader in terminal tractor and trailer operations. About the Role
As a CDL Driver / Fueler, you will safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer rated at 80,000 lbs. You’ll be responsible for transporting materials and equipment, ensuring secure loading, and maintaining all required driver logs and inspections. This is a night shift role that demands reliability, attention to detail, and a strong safety-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a tractor-trailer at all times
Maintain compliance with all DOT and federal/state driving regulations
Conduct daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
Maintain accurate Driver Logs in accordance with federal regulations
Load and unload equipment safely and securely
Verify loads are properly secured before transport
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups
Ensure work environment meets safety and cleanliness standards
Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
TWIC card required
Current medical card
Hazmat certification is required
Minimum 2 years of flatbed truck driving experience preferred
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and traffic laws
Demonstrated ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle
