Driver/Landscaper Palmetto Landscaping 81 Industrial Drive, Georgetown, SC 29440 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee our team in delivering exceptional service and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation, and the ability to manage various transportation tasks. This role is essential in coordinating daily activities while maintaining safety standards and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Transportation:

Safely transport crew members and equipment to and from job sites. Maintain and ensure proper operation of the vehicle(s) used for transportation. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.

Crew Leadership:

Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers, providing clear direction on daily tasks and projects. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient completion of landscaping duties, including lawn care, planting, trimming, mulching, and more. Train new crew members on proper landscaping techniques, safety protocols, and company policies. Monitor the team’s performance, offering feedback and guidance to ensure high standards of work. Resolve any issues that arise on-site, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Safety and Compliance:

Prioritize and enforce safety standards for both the crew and clients during all operations. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and local guidelines. Assess job site conditions and risks, implementing safety measures to avoid accidents or damage.

Equipment Management:

Oversee the safe use and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment. Ensure that tools and supplies are properly stocked and transported to job sites. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

Client Relations and Job Quality:

Represent the company with professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients. Ensure that landscaping tasks are performed according to client specifications and company standards. Provide updates to clients as needed regarding project progress and any concerns.
