Roll Off Driver Hardeeville Metal Recycling LLC Hardeeville, SC 29927 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating roll off trucks to transport metal and other recyclable materials from various locations in South Carolina and Georgia to our locations in Hardeeville SC, Beaufort SC, and Sylvania GA. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Roll Off Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of services while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Duties Operate roll off trucks in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Load and unload materials from designated sites. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Safely navigate various terrains and road conditions while adhering to traffic laws. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including weight tickets and service logs. Assist in the training of new drivers on safe driving practices and equipment operation. Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with experience operating roll off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Familiarity with rear loader trucks, front loader trucks, flatbed trucks, and other commercial driving vehicles is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading materials. Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures in all aspects of driving and operations.
