MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class A CDL & current DOT medical card At least 1 year (6 months considered) of CDL drivingexperience Must be able to pass road test Must have an acceptable driving record based on DOT and Companyinsurance mandates Must be in compliance with DOT’s Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouseprovisions

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Primary purpose is to deliver products loadedand secured by the warehouse in a safe and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Additional duties, which arenecessary to carry out the function of the Driver, may be assignedand are incorporated by reference into this job description. Respective duties include, but are not limited to, theperformance of safety-affecting activities on a motor vehicle usedin transportation on public highways in interstatecommerce; Responsible for being constantly vigilant to detect unexpectedroad conditions, distracted drivers, and motorists who don tunderstand how commercial vehicles operate; and commercial driversmust operate in a safe manner in accordance with the Federal MotorCarrier Safety Administration regulations; All Drivers, during the regular course of employment, mayreasonably be expected to make an interstate journey; Responsible for maintaining a valid and current CDL and MedicalCard; Reports to work on time, as directed by the TransportationManagement, and completes all duties assigned in a timelymanner; Responsible for wearing proper uniforms while on company timeor business, etc.; including any PPE such as steel-toe safetyshoes; Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle(truck, tractor, etc.) and equipment prior to departure and uponreturn from route; any defects are to be reported and brought tothe attention of management immediately; Complies with all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) rulesand regulations including, but not limited to, running a driver logon the Electronic Logging Device that is in each truck and/ortractor; Utilizes the company s P.O.D. (Proof of Delivery) scanner toaccurately deliver all product and/or equipment to any customer orcompany affiliate; unloads product of various sizes and weightsfrom a straight truck or tractor trailer to customers using a2-wheel dolly and trailer ramp or any other company issued safetyequipment; Responsible for accurate accounting of delivery paperwork toinclude all required documentation, accurate collection of cash andproperly securing such cash and checks or other forms of paymentapproved by Accounts Receivable; this process is executed inaccordance with current Departmental and/or CompanyPolicy; Drivers are regularly coached on unsafe driving habits usingour Drive-Cam camera system; drivers MUST ensure the safe operationof equipment used and make sure that it is maintained and keptclean during use; Required to take out overnight routes when necessary atTransportation Management s discretion; Enhances and upholds our company s reputation by ensuringcourteous customer service; Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner,processing the information effectively and communicating theinformation as needed effectively to the immediatesupervisor; Performs any other duties assigned by TransportationManagement; All personnel within this job description shall be subject tocross-training into jobs within the organization based on Companyneeds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands of this job include strenuous physicalactivity performing delivery activities to stores, warehouses, etc.

Safety procedures such as 3-point contact while climbing in andaround Heavy Transportation Equipment must be met by the employeeto successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to climb ladders or ramps. The employee is frequentlyrequired to talk or hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach withhands and arms. The employee must regularly lift 20-40 pounds andoccasionally lift 50 to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilitiesrequired by this job include close vision, color vision, and theability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here arerepresentative of those an employee encounters while performing theessential functions of this job. While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee must frequently work in wet humid andfreezing conditions and while working in outdoor weatherconditions. The noise level of the work environment is usuallymoderate.
