Semi-skilled Laborer – Sanitation Position Available In Sumter, South Carolina

• Job Purpose
• : Performs basic light maintenance and repairs to department assets such as roll cars, dumpsters and other related equipment.

Performs assigned work orders and other duties relating to solid waste activities.

Performs basic activities in support of day-to-day solid waste collection requirements.

Prepares and maintains a variety of reports and documents related to departmental operations digitally and on paper.

Operates light vehicles, power and hand tool equipment.

Assists in monitoring service supplies and inventory assets.

Performs related duties are required with exceptional service to inter-departmental and external customers.

• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• : Ability to work with a variety of basic mechanical equipment and/or carpentry tools such as screwdriver, hammer, pliers, wrench, trucks, etc. Ability to work with the public.
• Minimum Qualifications
• : High school diploma and/or 1-year related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must possess a valid S.C. drivers license.
