CDL A Delivery Truck Driver (15h Left) Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Job Profile Summary All drivers run daily routes with frequentstops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unloadproduct at each stop on the assigned route in the order they aredesignated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidatewill operate successfully in a cross-dock model picking up a loadedtruck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock andreturn the empty truck back to the assigned lot at the end of theroute. May be required to assist occasionally with loading-trucks,palletizing product, and performing other duties as assigned bySupervisor or Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock modelpicking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assignedloading dock and return the empty truck back to the assigned lot atthe end of the route. May be required to assist occasionally withloading-trucks, palletizing product, and performing other duties asassigned by Supervisor or Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providetechnical, customer relations, and personnel management for majorprograms and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting orexceeding designated route times
• Unload product from trailer, byhand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storageareas. May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, ordocks, in all weather conditions.
• Frequently lift, push, or moveproduct that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reachup to 72″ to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart; constantlybend and twist while loading and unloading product, and retrievingitems from trailer.
• Verify delivery of items with customer andobtain proper signatures. Contact management for authorization whendiscrepancies are on invoices. Communicate all errors/returns.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order(shorts)
• Handles any customer complaints professionally
• Handlescompany equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, andperforms a pre-trip inspection.

Perform pre-trip and post-tripresponsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation(DOT) regulations and Sysco policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

• 21 years of age.
• Must submit to apre-employment background check and drug screen.
• License to drive
• valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a cleandriving record.
• Ability to read and speak the English languagesufficiently to converse with the general public, to understandhighway traffic signs and signals in the English language, torespond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports andrecords.
• Touch freight
• may need to lift, push or move productweighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 poundsrepeatedly.
• Flexibility
• overtime as required, weekends andholidays as business needs require. Preferred Requirements
• 1 yearcustomer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months hand cart/handtruck experience preferred.
• 6 months Food and Beverage experiencepreferred.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
