Support Services Driver The Hospitality Hub of Memphis 95 Wallace Road, Nashville, TN 37211 The Support Services Driver plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in helping the Hospitality Hub meet its mission of helping people move from homelessness to housing. This position supports the case counseling teams by handling essential errands, deliveries, and in-the-moment support needs. From picking up guest meals or hygiene supplies, to running errands for staff, to checking in with team members needing on-site help, this role helps keep operations running smoothly while ensuring guests continue to receive compassionate, consistent care. Role:

The Support Services Driver plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in helping the Hospitality Hub meet its mission of helping people move from homelessness to housing. This position supports the case counseling teams by handling essential errands, deliveries, and in-the-moment support needs. From picking up guest meals or hygiene supplies, to running errands for staff, to checking in with team members needing on-site help, this role helps keep operations running smoothly while ensuring guests continue to receive compassionate, consistent care. While the position primarily involves transportation and logistical support, the person in this role will regularly interact with guests and must bring empathy, reliability, and a deep sense of mission to the work. You’ll often be the helping hand that makes a guest feel seen and supported — whether that’s through delivering supplies, helping staff manage an unexpected need, or preparing a clean, welcoming space for a new guest.

While the primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below, we expect all staff to be flexible and available to respond to emergencies and fulfill programmatic responsibilities, which may require working holidays, weekends, evenings, or nights. Many Hub clients and guests are healing from trauma related to their marginalization. 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Pay:

The salary for this position is dependent on the candidate’s demonstrated experience, expertise, and skill. The salary range for this role starts at $15.00/hr. Hourly team members are compensated with pre-approved overtime pay for hours exceeding 40 hours a week.

TBD While the primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below, this list is not exhaustive. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver meals, hygiene kits, supplies, and other essential goods for Hub programs and guests Respond to requests from case counselors for on-the-ground support or deliveries Meet staff at program sites (including the Rodeway Inn, shelter, or community housing locations) to assist with logistics or guest needs Support case management staff with errands or one-time support tasks, such as driving a guest to an appointment (on occasion) Assist with light janitorial tasks (e.g., taking out trash, restocking supplies) and light housekeeping duties, such as: Preparing a room for a new guest Making beds Ensuring guest spaces are clean and welcoming Maintain communication with program staff using Slack and other team tools Track trips and tasks completed during shift; report updates and issues promptly Ensure personal vehicle is clean, fueled, and reliable for work-related transportation Requirements A reliable personal vehicle and clean driving record (proof of insurance required) Comfortable driving frequently and transporting goods Self-starter who is highly dependable, organized, and responsive Friendly and supportive demeanor when interacting with guests and staff Comfortable working around individuals experiencing homelessness or in crisis Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to adapt to evolving daily tasks, including cleaning and room prep Preferred Experience working in social services, shelters, or similar nonprofit environments Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles Basic comfort with tech tools such as GSuite (email, calendar, documents) and Slack Training provided by The Hospitality Hub CPR/First Aid Certificate De-escalation and mediation training HMIS reporting and data collection Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace Harassment Prevention For Non-Supervisors Training on all services offered by the Hospitality Hub, the Homeless Continuum of Care, and active partners and referral agencies
