What You’ll Do Ability to pass a company road test
Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with production, sales and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time
Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours
No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years
No on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics
No violation for speeding excessively, 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in previous 3 years
Pass required D.O.T. and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by D.O.T.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Responsible for the delivery of products to customers, contractors, and jobsites throughout the location geographic region
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required
Work well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
What You’ll Need Ability to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order
Ability to operate variety of trucks (roll off, van, or flatbed)
Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations
Driver must be knowledgeable in D.O.T. Regulations/Requirements
Frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains, drops and hooks trailers, performs inspections and reaches to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Ensure vehicle is properly loaded and load secured and product is delivered safely and timely
Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
Minimum 1 year roll-off trailer experience preferred
Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor/trailer experience required (3 years preferred)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday; which may include some overtime
Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
Roll-off trailer experience required
Your Education High School Diploma or GED preferred
