• CDL Class A
• 12 months experience driving a tractor trailer in the past 5 years
• 21 years of age or older
• Pass a road test
• Acceptable driving record, per policy
• Acceptable responses to previous employment verifications
• Pass a drug test, background check, and pre-employment test
• Approved by the compliance department on DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements Responsibilities
• Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
• Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
• Verify order to ensure correct products loaded
• Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
• Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
• Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
• Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork Knowledge, skills and abilities
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
• Work well independently
• Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
• Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
