Job Description Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for a CDL Driver at our manufacturing facility located in Cookeville, TN. Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Details:
Dry van experience preferred.
Deliver trailer and trailer products while operating a tractor-trailer truck, spanning several states to internal branches timely.
Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
Drive OTR 3-4 overnights a week.
Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
Follow all applicable traffic laws.
Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
Keep a log of activities.
Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21+ years of age
Valid Class A CDL Required.
1 year experience, including manual.
Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
Clean driving record
- No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
