The Driver, Formula CDL-B is responsible for driving a tractortrailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local,over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and droproutes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and foodrelated products to customers in a safe and timely manner and inaccordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workersprofessionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in atimely manner. Functions as a team member within the department andorganization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to bestserve the company. Responsibilities may include, but not limitedto: Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip)including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according toDepartment of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspectstractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safetystandards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safetyissues and/or repairs required. Follows all DOT regulations andcompany safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately reportsall safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded andsecured freight. Performs count check of items and checks customerinvoices of products that have been loaded. Checks and completes inan accurate and in legible fashion all required paperworkassociated with freight. Moves tractor to the loading dock andattach preloaded trailer as needed. Drives to and delivers customerorders according to predetermined route delivery schedule. Unloadsproducts from the trailer, transports items into designatedcustomer storage areas. Performs damage control checks on items,scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according tocompany policy. Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtainproper signatures. Collects money (cash or checks) where required.
Loads customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors.
Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately lockedand/or always secured. Unloads damaged goods and customer returnsand bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork.
Unloads all equipment, materials and removes trash from trailers asrequired. Completes daily record of hours of service and enter inlog in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and companyrequirements. Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor,loading dock area and keeps trailers clear and clean as required.
At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete allnecessary paperwork. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Preview Qualification:
- 12 months commercialdriving experience
- High school diploma/GED or state approvedequivalent
- Valid CDL B
- Meet all State licensing and/orcertification requirements (where applicable)
- Must be 21 years ofage
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass postoffer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT HealthCard
