service patrol operator 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 399 SW Deputy J Davis Lane, Lake City, FL 32024 A free service provided by the Florida Department of Transportation; First Coast Road Rangers is Jacksonville’s premiere Safety Service Patrol program. We provide Traffic Incident Management on the highways within Alachua county and surrounding areas. Our goal is to keep the highways free and clear of incidents and to reduce traffic delays when an incident does occur. As a Road Ranger, you will actively patrol a specific zone and respond to traffic crashes, disabled vehicles and debris along with any other incident that is affecting the normal flow of traffic.

Duties:

Assisting Law Enforcement, assisting Fire and Rescue, assisting FDOT maintenance, setting up a safe work zone around traffic crashes, tire changes, jump starts, fuel, water for radiators, safely removing vehicles from travel lanes, debris removal in Gainesville and lake city ,

Florida Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 23 years old, Florida Drivers License, clean driving record, clean criminal background, drug free, available to work overtime (if needed), must be able to work in the elements (heat, rain, cold, etc.). 24/7 shifts availability the position is for night drivers only the shifts are 3 nights in a row and does include weekends and holidays.
