Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED.
Six (6) months of experience in the maintenance and repair of utilities, Stormwater, or transportation infrastructure.
Licenses or Certifications Must possess a valid state driver’s license and obtain a valid Florida CDL B driver’s license within ninety (90) days of hire or promotion.
Must obtain and maintain Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic/Temporary Traffic Control certification from an approved trainer within six (6) months of hire or promotion. Key Responsibilities
Inventories daily equipment and materials and stocks appropriate supplies in assigned City vehicle(s) per work orders, i.e., traffic control devices, plumbing supplies, and tools.
Prepares assigned City vehicle(s) daily, i.e., checking oil, fuel, brakes, and lights.
Ensures the safe and effective operating condition of vehicles and equipment by inspecting work order materials for defects, malfunctioning, or otherwise substandard conditions. Notifies supervisor of concerns.
Assists in preparing work sites by establishing traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, and cones per

Utilizes various manual, gas, and hand-held electrical tools and equipment to perform assigned tasks.
