Main duties include but are not limited to: installing, repairing, maintaining and troubleshooting for controllers, switches, relays, flashers, loops, cameras, cables and related traffic control equipment; setting up and testing controllers and cabinets; performing street light maintenance and underground locates; maintaining inventory and stocking bucket truck; and receiving work orders on traffic signal failures and related problems. Applicants with prior experience in fiber optics will be given preferential consideration. Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED with coursework in electronics technology and moderate experience in the electrical/electronic field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid NC Driver’s License Involves heavy manual labor, at times under extreme weather conditions Required to work outside of normal hours in emergency or on-call situations IMSA Traffic Signal Technician level I preferred, or the ability to obtain within one year of employment Fiber optic troubleshooting and repair is preferred
