Murfreesboro, TN 37129 Overview The Signaler plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery within various environments. This position requires a blend of technical skills and practical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot equipment effectively. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and be capable of interpreting technical schematics. Responsibilities Have or obtain CDL within 180 das after hire. Supervises a 4-person crew of technicians, electricians, operators, apprentices, and/or skilled laborers. Has strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installations, safety procedures, safe work practices, basic calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation, as well as troubleshooting. Operate and monitor signaling equipment to ensure proper functioning during operations. Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and necessary repairs. Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot problems effectively. Provide field service support, addressing any technical issues that arise on-site. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols. Document maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment. Skills Driving and operating a bucket truck and construction equipment as required. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair. Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Familiarity with computer hardware and networking concepts. Experience as a service technician or in a similar role is preferred. Ability to read and understand technical schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Working Conditions Possibility of traveling out of town for up to 10 days. Working in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoors and outdoors, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow depending on the job location. Working in and around restricted/confined spaces, manholes, utility tunnels and excavations. Working in and around vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Working on or around slippery or uneven surfaces.
