Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire Rail Technicians to inspect,maintain, and repair trains at our West Palm Beach, FL facility. Inthis role you will perform day to day running maintenance andunscheduled repair to a fleet of locomotives, coaches, and trainsets via maintenance instructions from Computer MaintenanceManagement System (CMMS). The work hours are 3rd shift
- 10pm-6:30am (including weekdays, weekends and holidays), but caninclude dayshift or afternoon shift based on operational needs.
What your day-to-day will look like: Follow all maintenance instructions (wherever available) toenforce to and maintain compliance and high-quality standards. Verify that all defects, tasks, and incidents have beenreported and detailed in (CMMS) for compliance, issue tracking, andclosure. Provide body/welding/paint repair to locomotives, coaches, andtrain sets. Keep workstation and work areas clean and free of debris at alltimes. Develop a working relationship with the Customer as an employeeand representative of Siemens Mobility. Maintain compliance to all Federal Railroad Administration(FRA) related safety rules, laws, and regulations. Collaborate with the leadership as needed on all site issues,systems, and related facility operations. Willing to perform all other functions as needed, includingforklift operation, daily cleaning operations. To thrive in this role, you have: High School Diploma / GED Minimum 3 years of working experience with a railroad or othertechnical field(s). Technical training will also be considered withlesser work experience, Setting you apart would be detailed knowledge of technicalaspects of the rolling stock/depot.

Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders Frequently required to work on elevated platforms. Perform work overhead. Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and theability to focus. Pushing and pulling objects towards and away from origin offorce. Keyboarding on a computer or other machine by means of atraditional keyboard. Gross and Fine Manipulation to include holding, grasping andpinching using hands and fingers. Driving forklifts, golf carts, yard buggies etc. The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/orother sounds in person or via communication radio.
