Responsibilities
A Video System Engineer is responsible in shop and on site for assembling and managing systems. They may be the lead engineer on a small or a medium size show. They are expected to stay current on all equipment and training as necessary. Essential functions
Must be able to assist any position as needed to ensure exceptional client experience.
Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met
Accomplishes department objectives by organizing and monitoring work processes while maintaining safety standards.
Understanding of and Compliance with Company Policies Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Operating knowledge of related systems required
Ability to build and execute system designs
Ability to engineer small to medium size shows on site
Needs to be a team player and assist any position as needed
5+ years engineering experience
Knowledge of all related office systems (Microsoft Office suite)
Required education and experience
5 years of Industry related Project management and co-ordination experience
2 years of post-secondary education preferred
Working knowledge and understanding of entertainment technology and equipment
Understanding of entertainment design principles and practices
Attention to detail, proficiency in math, and experience using AutoCAD/Vectorworks, MS Office
Physical demands
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50Ibs, occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities for this job may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus, with or without the use of glasses or contact lenses.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to follow spots and moving lights, loud noises, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
May be required to operate motor vehicles and load/unload trucks
Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
Travel required
Travel required to on-site systems and facilities; Travel expected approximately 50% of the time
Must have valid Passport
Must have valid Driver’s License
