Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently searching for an Inspector for our Alpharetta, GA office. What a day at EXP has in store for you
Responsible for performing assignments in assisting Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties. Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress. Inspection and testing of soils, concrete, steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with GDOT construction and specifications desired.
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
Observing general job safety practices.
Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.
The ability to work as a team a plus.
Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract.
What your experience looks like
Graduation from a university with a degree in civil engineering or from a four year college with a degree in civil engineering technology; graduation from a five year technical college with a degree in civil engineering technology and six years of progressive transportation technician experience; or graduation from high school and eight years of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for State Highway Agency; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
Passing scores on GDOT’s Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 1 (General Provisions, Auxiliary Items, Basic Highway Math, Basic Highway Plan Reading).
Passing scores on GDOT’s Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 2 (Pavements, Bases, Subbases, Minor Drainage Structures, Construction Erosion Control).

GDOT WECS.

GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
NECIT Level III Certification or ASCE Equivalent
