KBFS is seeking a General Clerk to assist with our refueling operations located in Geneva, AL.

Position Overview:

The General Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the refueling operations team. This role involves processing fuel transactions, maintaining accurate fuel records, coordinating with refueling staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This clerk is well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. This role is critical to the daily operations of the airfield, ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled efficiently to support safe and effective airfield management. This candidate is expected to contribute positively to the operational efficiency and safety standards of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers. Assist with credit card processing for fuel customers, ensuring quick turnaround for arrivals and departures. Assist with customer support, which may include driving a golf cart from operations to the hangar, assisting in operations kitchen duties, shuttling food and customers, etc. Assist in maintaining and updating fuel logs, records, and reports (daily, weekly, and monthly). Assist in the coordination of refueling operations. Assist in inputting and verifying fuel usage data into tracking systems. Assist in supporting inventory tracking and ordering of fuel and related supplies. Assist in the preparation and processing of documentation related to fuel deliveries, transfers, and consumption. Communicate with drivers, refuelers, and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency. Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, and data entry.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or related field (preferred). Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred (1-2 years). Experience in fuel, logistics, or transportation environment is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with a skill set of 3 out of 5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with office and airfield requirements. May require flexible hours, including weekends and holidays and evening shifts, to meet operational needs. Occasional exposure to airfield environments, including noise and various weather conditions based on refuel requirements. Combination of office and field environment (e.g., near fuel storage or airfield operations). May involve exposure to fuel fumes and noisy environments. Requires wearing appropriate PPE when in operational areas.
