Flight Operations Manager Work Location:

Full Time 40 hours per week; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized)

Negotiable IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to support a customer on Redstone Arsenal. Candidates should be able to provide administrative support, manage multiple flight operations daily, work effectively with others, and serve as a liaison between the customer and outside flight agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform daily Flight Operations duties and establish weekly flight schedules. Participate in staff meetings and brief status of flight operations as necessary. Process aviation flight plans in accordance with established military and civilian processes. Provide flight following via radio and Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B) tracking for UHPO flights. Monitor flight plan progress for training and support missions. Coordinate within Redstone Arsenal and other external agencies on aviation-related taskings. Coordinate with local Air Traffic Control facilities to ensure unique mission and Army requirements are accommodated in the local area of operations. Manage passenger transportation activities to ensure proper authorization and accountability. Monitor daily weather reports; Communicate rapidly changing weather conditions; Manage Severe Weather Plan. Maintain Crash Rescue Plan; Initiate rapid notification of aviation-related incidents or accidents. Maintain Aircrew Information Reading File as necessary. Order and maintain flight information publications, checklists, and technical manuals as needed. Maintain Aircrew Flight Records in accordance with military regulatory systems and processes. Maintain automated flight records in the Centralized Aviation Flight Records (CAFRS) system. Perform recurring record reviews to ensure aircrew medical, training, and performance documentation is current and complete Ensure mission coordination for external PEO taskers in coordination with UHPO Operations. Assist with scheduling of flight physicals, flight training, and other activities as necessary. Perform

Custodian Duties and order flight information publications as necessary to meet mission requirements. Perform Publications (TM) Checklist/FRC management duties and update/order new TMs as necessary to ensure aircrews have access to the most current versions. Assist in travel coordination regarding overseas specific requirements specified in the Foreign Clearance Guide. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Education and General experience:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience. Previous training and experience as U.S. Army 15P Aviation Operations Specialist. Previous training and experience with Centralized Aviation Flight Records System (CAFRS). Familiar with AR 40-501 and its application to flight status for military personnel. Familiar with documentation and training requirements for aircrew personnel as described in

AR 95-1, AR

600-105, and

TC 3-04.11.

Experience in maintaining individual aircraft flight records utilizing DA Form 7120, DA Form 7122, and DA Form 759. Experience in maintaining DA Form 5484 and the associated historical record-keeping requirements.
