Job Description

Aircraft Maintenance Controller Hera Flight, LLC 15965 Fairchild Drive, Clearwater, FL 33762 Hera Flight is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Maintenance Controller to join our team on second shift. This critical role ensures that all aircraft maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and company procedures, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and minimal operational disruption. The Maintenance Controller will serve as the central point of coordination between Maintenance, Flight Operations, and external vendors to support fleet readiness and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall Maintenance controllers are responsible for ensuring that aircraft are maintained and repaired according to FAA regulations and company procedures. Position is for second shift Controller. Normal hours (1430-0000). Possible weekend hours needed, rotating weekend days off.- Work hours can be different due to company flight schedules.- Coordinates with Parts, manpower requirements for field repairs of AOG aircraft with outside maintenance companies. Monitor aircraft availability and coordinate aircraft logistics between the Maintenance Department and Flight Operations. Reviews and approves maintenance release documents insuring adherence to GMM and FAA regulations, and initiates return to service procedures. Assures all Deferrals are accomplished in accordance with company manuals and FAA regulations. – Coordinate with pilots to identify any issues that may occur with the aircraft. – Must be able to use and learn the different software programs used at Hera Flight.

Qualifications:

A valid A&P is required. High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and components. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in various weather conditions and meet physical demands of the job.
