Job Objective
The Operational Control Center (OCC) Manager is responsible for the operational and administrative oversight of the Operational Control Center.
Essential Functions
Maintain qualification as an Operational Control Specialist (OCS) and perform all duties and responsibilities listed in the Metro Aviation, Inc. General Operations Manual
Comply with all directives and guidance of the Metro Aviation, Inc. General Operations Manual, Policy & Procedures, Company Bulletins, Federal Aviation Regulations and any other guidance/directives/regulations as applicable
Develop and maintain Operational Control Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with current FARs and Metro Aviation, Inc. direction
Lead the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program by creating and presenting department reports as required
Develop and maintain OCC personnel work schedules
Oversee scheduling and administration of OCS training as applicable
Oversee scheduling and administration of training to outside personnel (partner Communication Centers)
Attend to customer concerns and requests that are within the OCC Manager’s scope of responsibility; Immediately escalate all other customer concerns or requests to Metro Aviation, Inc. Operations management
Assigned personnel responsibilities to include:
Supervision in the performance of their duties
Conduct performance reviews
Participate in corrective action in coordination with the Director of Part 135 Operations in accordance with all policies and procedures

Proficient in directing and guiding personnel
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management preferred but not required
At least two (2) years of experience during the last five years in any one or in any combination of the following areas:
In military operations as a pilot, flight navigator, or meteorologist
In air carrier operations as a pilot, flight engineer, certified aircraft dispatcher, or meteorologist
Aircraft operations as an air traffic controller or a flight service specialist
Prior experience in airplane and helicopter air ambulance operations as a pilot
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Work Environment
Temperature controlled office
Darkened control center with multiple computer and television screens
Work Status, Schedule, & Travel
Full Time
260 work days/2,080 hours per year to include:
4 on /3 off
10-hour shifts
Workover available when necessary
Occasional travel
