Traffic Control Room Operator Devcare Memphis, TN 38103 Overview Are you ready to play a key role in keeping roadways safe and traffic flowing smoothly? We’re seeking skilled and detail-oriented Traffic Management Center Operators for an advanced-level role with minimal supervision, using cutting-edge technology to monitor and manage traffic incidents in real-time. Duties Monitor roadways using CCTV, detection systems & traffic software. Respond to traffic incidents, congestion, and travel time delays. Operate computer-based traffic management systems to improve flow & safety. Accurately post updates and alerts via DMS (Dynamic Message Signs) and 511 systems. Coordinate with Highway Patrol, Fire Rescue, and other emergency teams. Dispatch Service Patrols and assist with communication tasks. Maintain high awareness of road networks and incident response protocols. Skills Experience in traffic operations or a related field preferred. Comfortable with technology and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and coordination skills. Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights/weekends. Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to public safety.
