GOLF CLUBHOUSE ATTENDANT
(PART-TIME/SEASONAL)

28 per hourThe City of Bay Minette is accepting applications for the position of Golf Clubhouse Attendant (Part-time/Seasonal).Thisposition is part-time or seasonal. Responsibilitiesinclude performing clerical, operational, and maintenance work to assist with the daily operations of the City’s municipal golf course and clubhouse, andproviding service to clubhouse patrons, including serving alcoholic beverages, cleaning golf carts,picking up golf balls, and cleaning the clubhouse.
Applicants must be 21 years of age. Applicants must be willing to workafternoons/evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Checks in golfers, takes payments, provides information, and answers questions related to the clubhouse or course play
- Assists with public and member golf tournaments from start to finish
- Performs daily opening and closing of the course and clubhouse
- Opens the cart barn
- Assists the public with tee times, cart rentals, and purchases of food or beverages
- Maintains records of purchases, golf rounds, passes, and cart rentals
- Prepares, cooks, and serves food and beverages, including alcohol, to be purchased by the public
- Verifies age of customers ordering alcoholic beverages
- Follows all relevant health department rules and regulations for food and drink service, and observes the principles of safe food handling and preparation
- Communicates and meets with public and private organizations, agencies, and citizens regarding activities and programs at the facility
- Answers telephone and provides information to callers
- Maintains clubhouse, kitchen, and alcohol inventory
- Maintains a clean work environment in public and private areas of the clubhouse
- Operates a point of purchase system or cash register, handling cash and credit card purchases, and makes change for purchases
- Serves as attendant/bartender at Holly Hills Club Rental events
- Cleans and retrieves golf carts as needed
- Retrieves range balls as needed
- Provides a courteous and professional manner with patrons and co-workers at all times
- Refers all major problems or complaints to a manager
- Lifts food items, cleaning supplies, range balls or other items as needed
- Communicates to a manager any need for supplies necessary for the day-to-day operation of assigned area
- Follows established procedures for the proper opening and/or closing of cart and range operations
- Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures, location of emergency equipment, and reporting procedures
- Reports any broken equipment or mechanical failure to Golf Course Manager or Golf Course Assistant Manager
- May assist in pressure washing sidewalks, buildings, or other areas.“`{=html}“

Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver license from state of residence
- Requires completion of high school diploma or GED
- Requires possession of a valid ServSafe Certification or completion of ServSafe Certification within three (3) months of employment
- Must be drug and alcohol free
- Must be able to work efficiently and safely, without close supervision
- Must be in good physical condition and able to perform essential functions of position
- Must be dependable, alert, and enthusiastic
- Must have good work ethic, be responsible, courteous, and possess good communication skills
- Must exhibit a positive, welcoming, and pleasant attitude conducive to working with the public and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include afternoons/evenings, weekends and holidays.
