: The Range Attendant is responsible for the daily operations and upkeep of the driving range facility. This role requires a customer-service-oriented individual who ensures the range remains clean, functional, and welcoming for golfers. This position plays a key role in maintaining the overall appearance and efficiency of the range area. Essential Job Functions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Facility Presentation:
Greet and interact with customers in a pleasant and professional manner. Provide directions and assistance to customers as needed. Set up club racks and chairs in an orderly manner for the following day. Maintain clean and orderly hitting areas; rake sand bunkers and fill sand buckets as needed. Wash and refill golf club cleaners at both north and south tees daily. Smooth and sand hitting areas at the end of each shift. Transport golfers between the clubhouse and the East and West driving range areas.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
Operate and maintain equipment such as the ball retriever and ball washer. Check and maintain grease fittings, oil, and gas on range equipment daily. Notify management of any equipment needing repairs or showing signs of damage. Range Ball Management Retrieve range balls using manual and mechanical methods. Clean balls using the ball washer and ensure the machine is emptied and rinsed daily. Refill the ball machine regularly to ensure availability for customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires frequent lifting of objects up to 40 pounds, including baskets containing 300-500 golf balls. The employee must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, squat and use both hands and fingers with dexterity to collect golf balls throughout their shift.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND WORK HAZARDS
The Range Attendant works primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and rain. There is exposure to potential hazards such as moving machinery parts and areas where golf balls are being hit or golfers are swinging clubs. Caution and adherence to safety practices are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should possess a solid foundational background that demonstrates their ability to engage with the responsibilities of the role effectively. High school diploma or equivalent. Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record. Familiarity with the game of golf. Ability to interact positively with the public and co-workers. Knowledge of golf course policies, procedures and driving range operations. Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. Additional Information Pay Grade G01 Driving Position – Operating County vehicles and/or equipment is a primary function of this position.
