Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and dependable Lot Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our vehicle inventory, supporting our sales and service departments, and ensuring a positive first impression for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance:
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as fueling, washing, and detailing vehicles to keep them presentable. Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues requiring attention.
Lot Organization:
Arrange vehicles neatly on the lot to facilitate easy access and enhance visual appeal. Relocate vehicles as needed to accommodate sales and service activities.
Inventory Management:
Log new vehicle arrivals and update inventory records accurately. Coordinate with sales and service teams to track vehicle statuses.
Customer Service Support:
Retrieve vehicles for customer test drives promptly. Provide basic vehicle information and direct customers to appropriate personnel.
Lot Security:
Monitor the lot for security concerns, ensuring all vehicles are locked and secured. Report any suspicious activity to management.
Facility Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness of the lot and dealership premises, including trash removal and minor upkeep tasks.
Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, service, and administrative teams to support dealership operations.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Physical capability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Basic customer service and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Effective time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
Working Conditions:
