Description:
The Valet Parking Attendant is responsible for capturing and verifying all ticket revenue, parking and retrieving guest vehicles, as well as serving guests in a hospitable manner to ensure positive guest experience during arrival and departure.
Valet Parking Attendant Duties:
Open main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property. Assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors. Welcome guests and visitors with appropriate greetings of the day. Acknowledge and greet guests within 25 to 30 seconds and provide professional, fast and friendly service. Able to communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors. Investigate allowances and discrepancies, reporting issues to the manager when necessary. Tag guest vehicle keys with date & time, make/model, room number or contact number of the guest. Park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner; use claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery of the vehicle. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working. Load and unload luggage carts and vehicles when necessary. Maintain a clean work area.

Ability to drive a car. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Willingness to be flexible. Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations. Must be able to work unsupervised. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
