The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to ensure a positive and secure environment during transit. This role is crucial in supporting the development and well-being of our students, making it essential for candidates to be attentive, patient, and responsible. Responsibilities Safely operate a van to transport students to designated locations. Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Assist students in boarding and exiting the vehicle, providing support as needed. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, conducting regular inspections for safety compliance. Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff regarding transportation schedules and any issues that may arise. Monitor student behavior during transit, implementing behavior management strategies when necessary. Provide assistance with special needs students as required, ensuring their comfort and safety. Skills Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting. Knowledge of childhood development principles to support student needs effectively. Strong behavior management skills to maintain a positive atmosphere during transportation. Background in physical education or related fields is a plus. Proficient in classroom management techniques that can be applied during transit. Tutoring experience is beneficial for providing additional support if needed. Familiarity with preschool or toddler care practices is advantageous. Experience working with children with special education needs is preferred.
