Job Summary:

The Van Driver will represent Buena Vida Estates in a positive manner. You will transport residents to their destinations in a timely and safe manner. You need strong driving skills, a clean driving record, and a valid driver’s license. In addition to driving skills, you also need strong communication and customer service skills. Interacting with residents is a major part of our service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates the assigned vehicle according to all motor vehicle laws. Provides transportation services to residents while conforming to approved policies. Ensure that our residents are given fair and equitable treatment. Practices defensive driving techniques. Maintains established routes and time schedules.

Note:

Safety is the top priority even if delays disrupt the van schedule. Performs pre-trip, inspections, and first aid supplies. Coordinates preventive maintenance with the Resident Service Director. Maintain fuel level at ½ tank. Keeps interior of van clean and sanitized. Interact with residents, staff, and public professionally at all times. Work Experience Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with everyone. An ability to handle emergency situations swiftly and calmly. Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential resident information. Must be able to assist passengers with physical needs as required, including their entry and exit from the vans. Valid Florida Drivers License with a good driving record. Must qualify as a safe driver with V-Ride. Must complete all assigned Relias training on a timely manner. CPR / First Aid Certification required. High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

Will be indoors and outdoors frequently in a variety of weather conditions. The physical ability to sit for long periods of time. The physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously. Must be able to work in different types of weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
