Van Driver – Adult Services Position Available In Barnstable, Massachusetts

We are hiring a part time 21+ hours per week Van Driver to transport ourclients for our Adult Day Health program in Mashpee. The hourly rate is$20 & the position is Monday, Wednesday, & Friday split shift, 6:30 -9:30am & 1:00 – 5:00pm. The Adult Day Health Program is amedically-based program that helps the participant remain independentwhile promoting good health & well-being.

Job Responsibilities:

Transport program participants according to established safety rules &road regulations, set by D.O.T. Secure & maintain all required safetyequipment in the vehicle. Follow the Vehicle Maintenance Protocol & keepthe Transportation Coordinator informed of all service needs. Report anyproblems or maintenance concerns to the Transportation Coordinator. Keepexterior & interior of vans clean & free of potentially hazardousmaterials. Assist at sites as needed. Maintain CPR & First Aidcertification. Ensure that all passengers have secured seat belts at alltimes. Ensure wheelchairs are secure with tie downs at all timesaccording to DOT regulations. Maintain a daily transportation log.

Complete a Daily Pre & Post Trip Inspection Form. Will drive para van asneeded to ensure transportation needs are meet. Ensure that the DailyPassenger Log is complete, signed & turned into the

Site Education &Experience:

Experience with either elders or the disabled (ADH).Maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record/provenrecord of vehicle safety. Possess the ability to safely push, pull,load, & unload participants requiring wheelchairs. Possess the abilityto work with others as part of a team & communicate effectively.

Successfully pass a preemployment drug & alcohol test in addition tobeing enrolled in a drug consortium for random testing. Complete &maintain CPR & First Aid certified. Experience driving commercialvehicles preferred.
