Job Overview:
The Town of Great Barrington is seeking a dependable and friendly Full-Time Driver to join our Transit Department for the South County Connector service. This weekday position offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to make a direct, positive impact in the community by helping residents get where they need to go safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate town vehicles on established routes and schedules Provide courteous, timely service to passengers Ensure passenger safety at all times Follow traffic laws and safety protocols Maintain a clean and well-kept vehicle Complete daily reports and communicate effectively with the dispatch team
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong vehicle-handling skills Positive, helpful, and customer-focused attitude Previous experience in a ride service or transit role is a plus, but not required Why Join Us?
