Van Driver Position Available In Essex, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Great Life work Balance position with excellent benefits! TheDriver is responsible for driving and transporting participantsaround the community and to medical appointments as needed. The payis $20 hourly. This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday 8-4position; no nights, weekends or holidays!

Responsibilities:

Transports participants around the community, to and from medicalappointments and other outside appointments, as necessary. Assistsparticipants to and from the van for all pickups and drop offs.

Uses preventative measures to maintain vehicles’ interior andexterior on a consistent basis to ensure safe transportation.

Notifies the Director immediately of any incidents out of theordinary, client injuries, client falls, or accidents. Works withSupervisor of Drivers to identify specific needs of eachparticipant. Removes snow around surrounding area of vans duringthe winter months to ensure client safety and the safe operation ofthe van. Assists the Day Care Center Staff with local activitiesand other duties, as needed. Ability to pass a fit test. Positionmay include duties that require wearing a face mask where a seal iscritical. Incumbent may be required to not have facial hair thatinterferes with a tight seal of the respirator. Performs otherduties as requested.

Qualifications:

Valid state Driver’s Licensefrom the state of residence Minimum 5 years of safe drivingexperience Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and DOT mandateddriver training Able to physically move and maneuver participantsin a wheelchair Must be a responsible, flexible team player withgood communication and interpersonal skills Ability to pushpatients in wheelchair Covid vaccine required.
