Temporary Summer Bus Washer
Transportation Department
June 9th•August 15th (40 hrs/week)
General Statement of Job
Under immediate supervision, washes interior and exterior of Alexander County Schools buses and vehicles.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Transportation Director.
Work Environment and Hazards
Occasional climbing, balancing, lying on back/stomach, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing steps, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, and repetitive fine motor activities, talking, and hearing. Use of power/hand-operated equipment and machinery (as related to specific assignment).
Hearing/Vision•Constant looking and listening to identify hazards and/or moving vehicles far enough in advance to react. Environmental Conditions
Work outdoors with varying temperatures. Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud for occasional to frequent time periods. Frequent exposure to fumes of vehicles and cleaning solvents.
