NEMT (Wheelchair & Ambulatory) Tri-County Resources Group, LLC Raleigh, NC 27629 Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the position of NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Driver specializing in wheelchair and ambulatory transport. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being during transit. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving capacities and a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles designed for wheelchair and ambulatory transport, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Assist clients in boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing regular inspections to ensure operational safety. Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and medical facilities regarding transportation schedules and any special needs. Document trips accurately, including mileage, time of departure/arrival, and any incidents that may occur during transport. Collaborate with dispatchers to coordinate timely pickups and deliveries while managing schedules efficiently. Provide assistance with heavy lifting as needed, ensuring that all equipment is handled properly to prevent injury. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver or delivery driver preferred. Familiarity with paratransit services or commercial driving is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Previous experience in school bus driving, shuttle driving, or limousine services is advantageous. A commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all passengers during transport.
