School Van Driver BlueCap Service Manheim, PA 17545 Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting school children safely and efficiently, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the journey. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while interacting with students Experience in paratransit, shuttle driving, or commercial driving is highly desirable. Duties Safely operate a van to transport students to designated schools and return home. Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance needs. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any necessary assistance. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, particularly those with mobility challenges. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a professional manner. Keep accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and mileage. Experience Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, or in a similar role is preferred, but not mandatory. Familiarity with paratransit services or shuttle driving is an advantage. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
