canoe livery van driver 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 Job Summary Our canoe livery is seeking reliable and dedicated individuals 21 years and older with a clean driving record to join our Seasonal Van Driver/Loader position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting customers to designated locations along the river, providing them their reserved boat from your trailer. This role requires a commitment to safety, understanding of responsibilities, ability to load and unload canoes and kayaks throughout the workday, a positive personality for customer and coworker interactions. (seasonal employment would end mid-October) Open daily, typically 5-day work week with weekends and holidays required full time and part time weekends only available Responsibilities Safely operate a shuttle vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and alerting supervisors of required maintenance or repair. Knowledgeable and courteous addressing any questions or concerns from passengers. Keep accurate records of group number, boat numbers, and passenger counts. Qualifications 21 and older Previous experience shuttle driving, delivery driving, or commercial driving is a plus but not required as we train all employees. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with passengers. Follow schedules accurately and follow instructions of dispatcher. Must be able to maintain composure in potentially stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
