Rolling Green Village is a not-for-profit retirement communitywith a 35 Year Track Record of Excellence and a 5 star nursing homerating – Quality Care. We are currently seeking a hospitality minded medicaltransportation driver to work PRN (as needed). Candidates must have a desire to join a great team dedicated toproviding outstanding care to our residents. Drive and maintain the Toyota 6 passenger van, transportingresidents of Rolling Green Village in a safe and responsible mannerto and from scheduled medical appointments. Must enjoy working withseniors.
Essential Job Duties:
- Transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointmentsfrom their apartments and /or patio homes.
- Assist residents in and out of the van and with personal itemsthey may have with them including walkers, canes and other personalitems.
- Do a daily inspection of the van before leaving the property init.
- Maintain van log records for each trip as requested.
- Clean and remove trash from the van after each trip.
- Restore van to “pretrip” setting after each use. All stored itemsin their places.
- Maintain fuel level in the van. Request fuel card from ResidentServices Director or ARSD and refuel van when needed.
- Report maintenance concerns and needs to the supervisor. If notavailable, immediate concerns should go to maintenancedirector.
- Assist director in scheduling routine maintenance and servicechecks.
- Have van washed and cleaned inside and out on a regularbasis.
- Be flexible in scheduling for various trip times.
- Report to the director any concerns/resident issues that occurwhile out with residents.
- Immediately report any accidents or incidents to thedirector/supervisor.
- Obey all safety regulations and drive safely in all weatherconditions.
- Maintain daily participation/use log for billing purposes. Submitmonthly billing to director by 24th of each month.
- Qualifications and Skills – must pass a criminal backgroundcheck, drug screen and physical. Must have a valid South Carolinadriver’s license.
- Must have a clean driving and police record.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and writtendirections.
- Must meet physical and sensory requirements for thisposition.
