Cargo Van Driver By The Flowers 2339 Shop Rd, Columbia, SC 29201 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting flowers safely and efficiently to CVS stores and occasionally gas stations during seasonal events. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our products and our brand. Duties Operate a van to transport flowers to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and documenting any discrepancies via our Route4Me app. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients/store manager. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting and moving items within the facility. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Must have a smart phone with GPS (maps, google maps, waze, etc.) Should be physically able to lift 50lbs, squat, deadlift, fast pace walk and get off and on tall cargo vans safely. 40 hour job is usually completed in just 3 days and you get the rest of the week off. 25-30 hour jobs are completed in 2 days and you get the rest of the week off. Must be able to drive long hours, some routes can last as long as 14-15 hours. Experience Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Experience in warehouse operations, including heavy lifting and the use of pallet jacks or forklifts, is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with store managers when needed. A valid driver’s license is preferred is mandatory.
