LeConte Lodge Shuttle Driver & Tour Host 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Sevierville, TN 37862 LeConte Lodge is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable LeConte Interpretive Host to play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains. You will be the first friendly face many guests see as you transport them safely from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to the trailheads that lead to the breathtaking summit of Mount LeConte. This role combines safety-conscious and skillful driving with the opportunity to educate and inspire guests by sharing the rich natural, cultural, and historical stories of the Smokies. You’ll deliver engaging, scripted interpretive narrations on the park’s diverse ecosystems, wildlife, and conservation efforts, as well as the unique heritage of LeConte Lodge. Your friendly demeanor and knowledge will help guests feel comfortable, excited, and well-prepared for their outdoor adventures. As a key part of our team, you’ll maintain high standards for vehicle safety and cleanliness while managing schedules efficiently to ensure a smooth and enjoyable transportation experience. This position offers a rewarding chance to work outdoors in one of the nation’s most beautiful national parks while fostering a welcoming environment for visitors from all over the world.

• 9-to-10-hour shifts starting in the early mornings.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a minivan or a 12-passenger van in busy city roads and the Smoky Mountain National Park
• Pick up and drop off guests at designated locations in Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge
• Transport guests to key trailheads, including:
• Alum Cave Trail
• Trillium Gap Trail
• Rainbow Falls Trail
• The Boulevard Trail, Newfound Gap
• Provide engaging, informative pre-scripted narratives regarding:
• The history and operation of LeConte Lodge
• Local wildlife, plants, geology, and park conservation efforts
• Cultural and historical highlights of the Great Smoky Mountains
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and a positive travel experience
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and maintain logs
• Coordinate with lodge staff to maintain schedule and report any issues Must be at least 25 years old
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Able to lift up to 40lbs
• Strong communication skills and a passion for storytelling and nature
• Comfortable driving on mountain roads and busy city with pedestrian crossings
• Knowledge of the Smoky Mountains and LeConte Lodge is a plus or willingness to learn
• Passion for hiking or outdoors
