School Van Driver Peace of Mind Professional Educators Dedicated to Excellences Cordova, TN 38018 Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school… while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and effective communication skills. Experience in shuttle driving, or school bus driving is highly desirable. Responsibilities Safely operate a van to transport students to designated locations. Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and clean before and after each trip. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and mileage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a friendly manner. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (F-Endorsement) driving experience is preferred. Previous experience as a van driver or in related roles such as paratransit, shuttle driving, or school bus driving. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with passengers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for assisting passengers. A commitment to safety and punctuality in all aspects of the job. Must pass required background checks or screenings as part of the hiring process.
