Full Job Description Overview :

Van Driver Daycare/school A Daycare Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of children to and from school and daycare center. This includes adhering to schedules, conducting vehicle inspections, assisting children with boarding and exiting, and maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. They also communicate with daycare staff and parents regarding schedules and any necessary information.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

Ensuring the safety of children during transport is paramount. This includes following traffic laws, properly securing children in the van, and maintaining a safe driving record. Adhering to

Schedules:

Following pre-planned routes and schedules is crucial for timely pick-up and drop-off of children.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conducting regular vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip), reporting any maintenance needs, and keeping the van clean are also important duties.

Communication:

Maintaining clear communication with daycare staff and parents regarding schedules, any issues, and potential delays is essential.

Assisting Children:

Helping children safely board and exit the van, and ensuring they are properly secured, is a key responsibility.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of pick-up and drop-off times and any other relevant information.

Building Relationships:

Establishing positive relationships with the children and their families is also important.

Following Procedures:

Adhering to all safety procedures and emergency protocols established by the school/daycare center.

Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License:

A valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle being operated (e.g., with an “F” endorsement or CDL) is required. 15-passenger van

Clean Driving Record:

A clean driving record is crucial for demonstrating safe driving practices.

Experience:

Experience operating a van or similar vehicle may be required, and experience working with children is often preferred.

Background Check:

A successful background check is typically required for working with children.

Communication Skills:

Good communication and interpersonal skills are needed for interacting with children, parents, and daycare staff.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, and to maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment, may be required Work hrs split shift : 6:15am-9:30am and 1:30-4:30

Note:
