SC STEM SIGNING DAY 2025 APPLICATION RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO APPLY OR BE SELECTED.

BY SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION, EACH PARTICIPANT REPRESENTS AND WARRANTS THAT THEY MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS DETAILED IN THESE RULES. FAILURE TO MEET ALL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. APPLICATION SUBMISSION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES. ALL APPLICATIONS BECOME THE PROPERTY OF TALLO AND ITS AFFILIATES (THE “SPONSOR”) AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED OR ACKNOWLEDGED. SPONSOR’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING ON ALL MATTERS.

APPLICATION PERIOD: This application process begins at 7 PM PST on February 25, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM PST on March 28, 2025.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all high school students in South Carolina who demonstrate a strong commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, retailers, distributors (collectively, “Application Entities”), and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to apply. The program is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

SELECTION CRITERIA: Honorees will be selected based on a rubric that evaluates responses to the application questions. Selection is not based on chance but on merit, as determined by Sponsor’s review panel. Sponsor reserves the right to reject any application that is incomplete, non-responsive, or does not meet the eligibility requirements. If, in its sole and absolute discretion, the Sponsor does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified applications, it reserves the right to select fewer honorees or cancel the program.

HONOREE NOTIFICATION: Honorees will be notified via email the week of April 7, 2025. If an honoree does not respond within the timeframe specified in the notification, Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate honoree.

PUBLICITY RELEASE: By submitting an application, applicants agree that, if selected as an honoree, Sponsor has the right to use their name, likeness, photograph, school name, and any statements made regarding the program for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, or permission, except where prohibited by law.

ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATIONS: Honorees acknowledge that Sponsor may contact them for additional information, interviews, or promotional opportunities related to SC STEM Signing Day.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by applicants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the application process. Sponsor is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, or destruction related to the application process.

GOVERNING LAW: This program shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, U.S.A., without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions.
