Length of Work Year On-call, as needed 2026/2027 school year Employment Type Temporary Job Summary Job Summary Mono County Office of Education helps serves Mono County Schools, Mammoth Unified School District and Eastern Sierra Unified School District in the Substitute Teacher process. Substitutes are a valued asset and play an important role in our children's education. Qualified individuals are being sought to serve as substitute teachers when regular certificated staff are absent. The Mono County Office of Education will help you apply for your Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit if needed. Please do not apply for this permit on your own, as we are able to help expedite the process.

Certificated posting is for individuals who hold a valid Full California Credential (Preliminary or Clear) or a valid Emergency 30-day Substitute Permit. Comments and Other Information Essential Job functions:- Provides learning experiences and teaches the lessons of study prescribed by the classroom teacher or administrator.
- Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity.
- Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student control required to achieve effective participation in all activities.
- Provides appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school/ District policies goals and objectives.
