Job Description
Job Summary Blue Duck Brewing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Bartender to lead our bar team and elevate our beverage service. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily bar operations, craft innovative cocktails, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. Your expertise in beverage recipe development and hospitality will drive the success of our bar program. Duties Lead and supervise the bar team, providing mentorship, and support to ensure high standards of service and professionalism. Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in develop of signature cocktails, wine pairings, craft beers, and spirits to delight our guests. Ensure accurate processing of cash transactions using our Toast POS systems. Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders efficiently, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Maintain a thorough understanding of food industry trends, cocktail techniques, beverage recipes, and hospitality best practices to keep our offerings fresh and exciting. Qualifications Proven experience as a Head Bartender or Bar Manager in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development. Proficiency with POS systems and strong basic math skills for retail math and cash handling. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to connect with diverse guests in a fine dining or upscale setting. Food safety certification and experience in food service operations are highly preferred. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
