Currently staffing for over 50 businesses in the county, our client provides workforce solutions including evaluation-to-hire, direct hire, and Human Resources consulting. The mission is to connect people with meaningful employment opportunities while helping businesses find the right talent. Position Overview We are seeking a Skilled Trades Recruiter for our Bethlehem, PA office. This is a full-time, on-site position. As a Full Desk Recruiter, you will oversee both sides of the recruiting process—from developing new business and managing existing client relationships to identifying, interviewing, and placing qualified candidates. You will partner with companies in the skilled trades and industrial sectors to understand their workforce needs and provide dependable talent for positions such as Welders, Fabricators, Maintenance Mechanics, CNC Machinists, and other skilled professionals. A strong background in business development will be particularly valuable as you establish new accounts, strengthen existing partnerships, and expand your presence within the skilled trades market. Primary Responsibilities Business Development & Client Relations Research and prospect potential business clients within the skilled trades and industrial markets. Introduce prospective clients to staffing and recruiting solutions. Develop new accounts and negotiate service agreements. Maintain consistent communication and build lasting relationships with hiring managers and business leaders. Identify opportunities to expand existing client partnerships. Recruiting & Candidate Development Locate and attract qualified skilled-trades candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, trade schools, and other sourcing channels. Conduct candidate screening and interviews to evaluate qualifications, experience, and overall fit. Identify strong candidates whose potential may not be immediately apparent from their resumes. Present qualified candidates to clients for appropriate openings. Maintain meaningful relationships with candidates throughout the recruiting and hiring process. Follow up consistently with both candidates and clients to keep searches moving forward. Full-Cycle Recruiting Manage assignments from initial job-order intake through successful placement. Work directly with clients to understand position requirements, workplace culture, scheduling expectations, and hiring priorities. Create and publish effective job advertisements and position descriptions. Coordinate interviews and communicate hiring decisions. Present employment offers and assist with the pre-employment process. Address employee-relations matters and provide ongoing support when needed. Market Development Monitor hiring trends, labor-market conditions, and developments affecting skilled-trades employers. Provide clients with relevant market information to help them compete for qualified workers. Develop relationships with trade schools, vocational programs, job fairs, and other talent pipelines. Think creatively about where high-performing candidates can be identified beyond traditional recruiting channels. Qualifications & Experience At least 2 years of experience in full-desk recruiting or a comparable recruiting/business-development environment. Demonstrated success developing new business and generating client relationships. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple clients, open positions, and candidates simultaneously. Knowledge of construction, manufacturing, industrial, or skilled-trades positions is strongly preferred. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will bring: Strong discovery skills and the ability to uncover the hiring challenges behind a client's stated requirements. Sharp interviewing abilities to recognize experience, potential, and transferable skills that may not be obvious on a resume. Persistence and drive to consistently prospect, recruit, follow up, and close opportunities. The ability to communicate professionally while building genuine relationships with both clients and candidates. A competitive, entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership of results. Excellent prioritization, organization, and time-management skills. A hands-on, results-oriented approach to daily recruiting and business-development activity.
