Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Parts Installer II to support our telecommunications and media solutions in automotive environments. In this role, you'll install and replace telematics, media, and electronic components in vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. You'll read work orders and diagrams, select proper parts and tools, and verify system functionality through testing and basic troubleshooting. Working in a collaborative, people-first culture, you'll document work in digital systems, partner with technicians and coordinators, and help deliver reliable solutions used by dealers and consumers worldwide. Responsibilities Install and replace telematics, media, and electronic parts in vehicles to Cox standards Interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical specs to select correct parts and tools Test and verify proper operation of installed components and vehicle systems Troubleshoot basic installation and connectivity issues and perform adjustments Follow safety, quality, and compliance procedures in shop and yard environments Document work performed in company systems with accurate parts and labor details Collaborate with technicians, inspectors, and coordinators to meet deadlines Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area Required Skills Automotive parts installation Telematics hardware installation Basic vehicle electrical systems Reading technical diagrams and work orders Use of hand and power tools Quality and safety compliance Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting Work order and digital documentation Time management in shop environment Collaboration with technicians and service teams
