Gastineau Log Homes has been building custom oak log homes since 1977. We are family-owned, we are America's largest manufacturer of oak log homes, and our model homes off the highway in Kingdom City are the reason a lot of our customers call us in the first place. We are looking for an experienced sales consultant to work our inbound leads. This is not cold calling and it is not a lead-generation grind. People come to us already interested. Your job is to earn their trust and guide them through a decision that takes months, without letting them drift. This role is a fit if you have carried a sales quota and hit it. If your background is retail, service, or support, this is not the right opening for you, and we will not be a good use of your time. What you would actually do Work inbound leads from the first call through a signed contract, with disciplined follow-up in between Run a consultative process: understand what the customer wants, educate them on their options, and help them decide with confidence Keep a clean pipeline and a real weekly rhythm of activity, not a flurry at month end Learn the product well enough to speak credibly about log home construction, options, and the build timeline Represent Gastineau on calls, in person at our Kingdom City location, and at occasional industry events What you need to have Three or more years in a quota-carrying sales role, with numbers you can speak to in an interview. Consultative or longer-cycle sales is ideal: homes, construction, capital equipment, insurance, financial services, or similar. A track record of managing a pipeline over months rather than closing same-day Strong communication on the phone, over email, and face to face The self-discipline to follow up on your own, without someone checking your activity Comfort with Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to work in person at our Kingdom City, MO location Construction or log home knowledge is a plus, not a requirement. We will teach you the product. We cannot teach you to sell. What we offer Base salary plus uncapped commission. Realistic first-year total compensation is $85,000 to $100,000 for a consultant who ramps well, and earnings grow meaningfully in year two and beyond as your pipeline matures. These are performance-based figures, not guarantees.
