Tallo Joins net.America in a Week-Long Virtual Event to Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week

Tallo’s partnership with netAmerica connects talent with youth and traditional apprenticeships in the healthcare, health IT and energy sectors. Implementation Specialist, Paige Ramstack from Tallo will be joining as a guest speaker during “AppCon2.0: Beyond the Status Quo in Apprenticeships.” An exclusive week-long virtual event in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, AppCon2.0 will be hosted from November 15 to November 18, 2021.

Tallo helps young professionals learn about the benefits of a pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship, along with information about how they differ from traditional internships. By equipping the incoming workforce with the proper tools to guide connections, Tallo also works alongside organizations to assist with early brand awareness, building a future talent pipeline, and improving diversity and inclusion initiatives. Organizations, students, and professionals alike use Tallo to bridge the gap of creating meaningful connections early on and to discover opportunities that would be a good fit based on their skillset.

The event will engage participants from around the country in pre-recorded content, live discussions, and informative Q&A sessions, each designed to inform, educate, and excite people about the prospects of apprenticeships. Designed to address modern workforce challenges, Tallo’s CEO and Co-founder shares how, “At Tallo, we recognize the value of bringing the right opportunities to talent early and often, and we are looking forward to helping this community go “beyond the status quo” to share ideas and make valuable connections.”

Are you looking for a rewarding career in healthcare? Are you ready to learn new skills? Do you want to earn while you learn?

Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) are a chance to jump-start your career, get paid, and earn your credentials.

Businesses and apprentices both benefit from these programs. According to the Center for American Progress, the top five ways businesses benefit from hiring an apprentice are:

  1. Build a pipeline of skilled workers
  2. Gain workers with customized/customizable skills
  3. Boost retention
  4. Save money on recruitment, marketing, and wages
  5. Make a positive return on investment

In addition to the benefits of an apprenticeship, here are exciting facts about RAPs according to Apprenticeship.gov

  1. There are over 24,000 apprenticeship programs across the U.S.
  2. $72,000 is the average starting salary for apprentices who complete a program.
  3. 92% of apprentices retain employment after apprenticeship completion.
  4. $300,000 is the Lifetime Earning Advantage for apprentice graduates who complete their programs compared to peers who don’t.

With employment in healthcare occupations projected to grow 15% through 2029 (US Bureau of Labor Statistics), employers need skilled talent to keep up with the heightened demand. Apprenticeship programs are currently being developed and implemented in the following occupations to address those labor needs:

  • Medical Assistant
  • Community Health Worker
  • Certified Home Health Aide
  • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant
  • Pharmacy Technician
  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate
  • Medical Interpreter
  • And many MORE!

Virtual attendees of AppCon2.0: Beyond the Status Quo in Apprenticeships will learn about a variety of topics, including the successes and strides being made through Registered Apprenticeships, the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce, the best practices for youth apprenticeship experiences, and the benefits of expanding apprenticeship access. Students will also learn about apprenticeships and how they can provide a career path in manufacturing and other industries through employer-sponsored programs.

Tallo users will have the opportunity to gain up to four exclusive Digital Badges to display on their Tallo profile for attending National Apprenticeship Week events from November 15-18.
