POSITION SUMMARY

:

ADON implements standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis inthe SNF units of the campus. This position oversees the nursingaspects, directing and evaluating of all Skilled Nursing personnelproviding direct resident care within the campus.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

:

  • Maintains residents’ charts to include all admissiondocuments, care plans, records of care, and any other documentsrequired by state regulatory agencies.
  • Operates the SNF areas incompliance with all regulations from federal, state, or any othergovernmental agencies having jurisdiction over the campus and actas liaison between the campus and regulatory agencies.
  • Implementsthe administration of resident medications, assesses response tomedications and treatments and makes appropriate adjustments orrecommendations for nursing activity to be implemented
  • Participates in and leads staff meetings and implements nursingprogram
  • Conducts daily resident rounds and initiates correctiveaction as necessary.

Participates in and attends all in-servicetraining and education programs as scheduled. Other duties asassigned.

Thephysical demands described here are representative of those thatmust be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job.

  • This position is very active and requiresfrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping andclimbing.
  • This position will be required to lift or carry weightup to 50 lbs. and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently.
  • The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residentsin their daily living.
  • This position regularly requires longhours and frequent night and weekend work.
TRAVEL:

No travel isexpected although occasional travel may be required for trainingsessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations,and other company functions.

E DUCATION AND EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two or Fouryear college or university degree required.
  • Current statelicensure as a Nurse is required.
  • Two years’ experience in asimilar healthcare position required.
  • Five years of healthcareexperience desired.
  • Remain in good standing with all standards ofthe Nurse Practice Act.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctualitystandards.
  • Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneoussoftware and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and followdirections as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
